Here's How You Can Break Out Of The System That's Enslaving You Subconsciously

Never Get Trapped In Society's Zero-Sum Games

Since my childhood, I was told what to strive for, what my goals should be, and what path I should take to achieve my goals.

But I always questioned things:

  • Why should we go to school?

  • Why should we learn things that are not interesting to us?

  • If the conventional path is so great, why can't I find a single successful and fulfilled person with a 9-5 job?

But no one provided a concrete answer. Because they've been following the same worldview that their predecessors told them. That was the only perspective they were exposed to.

Society instilled ideologies and dogma into me from birth, making me live life like an NPC ( Non-playable character ).

It took a lot of self-reflection and awareness to break out of the system's shackles.

And I'm sure this is the case for 99% of the people who strive for goals not set by them, and take a path not forged by them. They follow

Society aka the system takes you through a laid-out process which is what 99% of people follow.

The Traditional System Process

The traditional system process compromises of 3 systems:

  • The school system

  • The college system

  • The job system

Society incentivizes people to go through these systems. But at the same time, it judges people who break out of the process which is what you need to do.

Here's what the traditional system process does:

  • The school system kills your creativity.

  • The college system kills your questioning capability.

  • The job system kills your freedom.

The system limits your perspective and worldview and reinforces your identity. People are being a victim to wage slavery without realizing it.

The system gives out false hope and fake promises like job security. It enforces beliefs like building a business is risky. People fall prey to these beliefs and lives unfulfilling and miserable life. It puts you in unhealthy and toxic work environments, and pays for your time, not your output.

The system makes you study:

  • Trignometry over finances

  • Algebra over mental health

  • History over monetary policy

And you pay a fortune to access and learn these outdated irrelevant resources. In this age of the internet, you can find any resource online and learn any in-demand skill for free. And yet people want a false sense of security the system provides and joins colleges.

The vast majority of people follow the Traditional System Process. And yet they have no freedom, do a job they hate, and lead a mediocre life.

So then, what's the solution here? To live a fulfilling and satisfactory life with freedom:

  • You need to do what you love

  • Make money with what you love doing

And there's only one business model that'll allow you to do that.

The Self-reliant Business Model

This is the age of information. You get bombarded with information every single day.

And there is a community of people who leverage the internet and the internet they consume. There's a new economic boom that is going on which is called The creator economy. People who turn their interests into a monetizable business are what the Creator Economy is all about.

Life goes through phases where our interests evolve through each phase. Just because you chose one interest to chase at the age of 18, it doesn't mean you have to follow one interest throughout your life. Contrary to popular advice that you need to focus on only one interest, I say ( so do big creators ), you can let your curiosity lead your life.

Closing yourself in a box, to a niche is what will lead you to a unhappy life. Humans are wired to create and please our curiosities. You can't force yourself to focus on one aspect of reality.

So questions might arise within you:

  • How can I turn my interests into a business?

  • Is this business model risky?

  • How does it work?

1. Identify Your Interests

It's fascinating and alarming to me that, many people don't even know what their interests are.

They are so brainwashed from birth that, they chase after interests that their parents and society set for them. Unlearn everything until this point in your life.

Take a pen and a piece of paper and answer these questions:

  • Which content can I watch for hours and never get bored? ( I mean intellectual stuff here, content that'll expand your mind, not anime or TV shows or any cheap dopamine content )

  • Which interest am I fascinated about learning but never got the time to get into it?

  • How can I help people, and provide value with my interests?

If you find it difficult to answer these questions, just look up your YouTube history. That'll give you some level of clarity.

This process can lead to up to 20 interests and can take a lot of self-reflection to answer. All you need is one interest to make money from. ( You can still pursue other interests, that'll come later )

2. Consume And Learn

Now that you've identified the interest, from which you'll make money, it's time to dive deep into the unknown.

Start consuming content revolving around your interest. Read books, and listen to podcasts and audiobooks, any long-form content will suffice.

P.S. Take notes. I can't stress this enough, note-taking is crucial for your learning. Whether physically or digitally, have a common place where you store all learnings and ideas you come across. These can be turned into firepower for your content and products which I'll talk about in a minute.

I personally use Notion for all to capture all my ideas and learnings in one place. I would recommend you to do the same. Get adapted with no-code tools which can be a huge leverage in your self-reliant business.

3. Outline & Start a Project AKA Personal Brand

You need to fail fast to learn fast. In order for all my learnings to stick, you need a project where you can implement what you've learned.

In our case, start a personal brand. I recommend Twitter to start from. Create an account, keep a headshot pic for your profile picture, and start talking.

The best way to remember everything you learn is to teach someone else. Start posting content. Let me tell you, your content will suck. But all beginning stages suck and there's not a single person watching you.

So get the shit out there and you'll improve gradually. Start consuming other creators' content and observe how they write their tweets, how they structure it, and how they deliver it.

Engage with other creators to form connections and to also drive traffic to your content. This is the Creator Economy. Creators talk about their own interests providing value to those who seek it. They also connect with other creators helping each other grow.

4. Start Selling Your Products Or Services

I have seen brands with 100,000 followers making less than $1000 dollars per month. This is because they made the mistake of not monetizing their brand early.

Start building a product from the information you have in your head or a consulting service.

I would recommend consulting service because you can start earning right away. With a product, you need traffic which you'll not have at the start.

With some cold outreach, you'll be able to land clients easily. Start working for free for the first few clients and start with a low-ticket offer.

You'll be able to scale to 5-10 clients a day with $200-$500 dollars per call. Start learning about lead magnets and cold outreach.

Once you've gathered testimonials and experience, build a product with the system you use with your clients that gets them results.

Distribution Comes Before Monetization

Everything above will form levers that you must pull on a day-to-day basis.

Here's the blueprint for monetization:

  1. Study your interests

  2. Start a service business

  3. Grow an audience

  4. Work for free for testimonials

  5. Develop your process

  6. Increase prices

  7. Repeat 5-6

  8. Productize your process

  9. Scale your audience and your income scales with it

You have infinite ways to monetize, not involving begging and asking for donations.

You just need to focus on audience building for distribution, improving your skill stack, and following your curiosity.

Build distribution, give value, and get paid.

That's it.

Enjoy the upcoming days.
